Globe Thistle Greetings Card The Globe Thistle is an ornamental plant which gives great structure to deep borders.  Tolerant of poor soil and windy conditions, it prefers full sun and is ideally suited to gravel gardens and coastal areas. One of the plant’s common names which might raise a smile is ‘blue hedgehog’! Designed by the highly skilled artist Stephen Lennon, the Globe Thistle greetings card is part of his Everyday Botanicals range.  Like all Stephen’s designs it started as a drawing inspired and informed by his considerable botanical knowledge honed as a nurseryman.  His cards are printed locally (he’s a Yorkshireman in exile, now to be found in Northumberland) and the production of them supports many small businesses.
